Blue Hill Community Club
This organization replaced the Chamber of Commerce in 2003. Our members are very active in many improvement projects for the physical, social and economical development of the community. Any inquires for the Community Club may be addressed to Jenny Henderson at (402) 756-2044.
American Legion - Arthur L. Shirley Post #176
Organized in January 1920, the Legionnaires are responsible for the annual Memorial Day Service, presiding military funerals and the annual Veterans Day Program and Soup Super. Also, the Legionnaires, together with the Boy Scouts offer an annual Flag Retiring Ceremony. The Legion also sponsors: Boys State Participant, Boys and Girls Junior Lawman’s Training, Local Student Scholarship, Summer Baseball and Softball Programs and Boy and Girl Scouts. American Legion Auxiliary - Arthur L. Shirley Post #176
The auxiliary was organized in October 1920. The auxiliary is in charge of distribution of poppies for Poppy Day. They also, in conjunction with the Legionnaires, host the annual Veterans Day Soup Super. The Auxiliary also sponsors: Girls State Participant, Local Student Scholarship and Social Hour at the Veterans Hospital in Grand Island.
