The City of Blue Hill provides utilities at a reasonable price to the citizens of the community.  These include: sewer system, new water tower, quality drinking water, weekly trash pickup and electric power. The City also owns and operates its own generator, which powers the town when necessary. 

Natural gas is available by provider of choice. 

Telephone and DSL Internet are provided by Glenwood Telephone Membership Corporation. 

Law enforcement is provided by the Webster County Sheriff Department and Webster County Court.
